Paros Backpackers: Paros, Greece
A gem of a hostel in the Greek islands right on the beach.
The entrance to the hostel
All are welcome at Paros Backpackers in Parikia, Paros! (except those over 40—this one’s for youthful adventure seekers!) Parikia is the island's lively port town, known for its waterfront taverns, and easy access to island-wide transport. I stayed here for several days and it's social energy yet simplicity really stood out, not to mention all of the delicious food surrounding the hostel.
Paros Backpackers is the kind of hostel where meeting other travelers comes naturally. The rooftop terrace at sunset lends itself to an easy social environment The socials start early—guests are invited into a WhatsApp group on arrival that helps coordinate between all of the guests and the staff!
I personally recommend taking a party boat or some kind of trip on the water if you can! That was definitely the highlight of my time in Paros and I met so many like-minded people to me while on the boat.
Rooms are simple but well-equipped: air-conditioned dorms or privates, each with ensuite bathrooms, fridge, balcony, and daily cleaning (towels swapped every two days, sheets every three). There are perks like free Wi-Fi, a kitchen, internet corner and printer. Morning breakfast isn’t included—but preparing your own spreads in the communal area is part of the fun. There is a restaurant connected to the lobby as well, so there is always something to eat!
Wondering if you should stay here? Paros Backpackers offers exactly what many come to Paros for: connection, accessibility, and affordability. Whether you’ve just arrived off the ferry or prepping for a beach day, there’s a good chance you’ll meet fellow travelers on the roof, lounge poolside with a beer, or explore solo, whatever floats your boat!
